Happy Full Moon!
Several weeks ago I was sitting in meditation and felt the presence of Mother Mary with me. As I continued to sit, a new variation of the Moon Salutation was unfolded in my meditation.
I later tried it out on my body, and its flowing movements were inspiring. It took me a bit of time to get used to the slightly new sequence, but I ended up loving it.
I made a video to share it with you:

To me this variation brings a peaceful sense of surrender (who doesn’t need that when you’re a mother!).
What I love most about Mary is her combination of earthiness and openness. She was connected to her body through giving birth, caring physically for a baby, and then decades later witnessing his painful death. So in this way she is deeply connected to embodiment.
But she is also intimately attuned and open to the heavens ~ to her own inner intuition and knowing ~ as well as to the voices of angels. Mary was a deeply spiritual woman.
I love the way that ALL variations of the Moon Salutation invoke this combination of embodiment and heavenly openness. And, for me this variation brings about a particular flavor of that. I’d love to know what you think!
Please enjoy this video, and practice along with me if you’d like. Then share on Facebook what you got out of the experience. I’d love to hear from you.
